SUMMARY
Hussein bin Talal was born in November 13/1935. He lived a simple life with his family in Amman. He studied at Amman and Victoria school in Egypt. He worked with   his grandfather king Abdullah like a translator because he was good at English.  He was related to his grandfather and visited him the most than relatives.They were together when his grandfather was assassinated in Jerusalem. Then he felt great sadness about his grandfather’s death in 1951. Then his dad became the king, and he became an assistant. In this period he went to England to finish his studies and military science. 

In 1953, when Hussein was 18 years old, he became King of Jordan because his dad was ill. At that time, Jordan was under British occupation. All Arab countries were undergoing a difficult phase. His first work was on the Arabization of the army, also ended the British colonial rule in this country. He had several assassination attempts such as someone put poison in his food. In 1958, he established the union of Arab Hashemi with his cousin Faisal in Iraq. In 1960 he got married with princess Muna, and they had four children one of them Abdullah King of Jordan now. He got married four times, and he had 11 children .Between 1962-1966 there were several developments. For example, the first oil refinery built and a lot of factories. In 1967 Jordan shared some Arab countries to fight Israel. At this time, Jordan was experiencing problems in the economy, and lost everything. After that, he had the country started with some industries thus returned the economy’s prosperity. Then he said country is able to reduce the amount of fiscal deficit. Furthermore, Jordanian people advantage as officials people, and he thought to withstand hardships and adversity. He concluded book by stating he was optimistic for the future of Jordan in the coming years.

RECOMMENDATION:
I like this book. I was amused when I read it.  The writer is King Hussein himself, who spoke about his life experiences. Now I know a lot about the life of this great person. In my perspective, he was actually the King who loved his country and his people.
